A Halifax radio section is under fire from a neighborhood MP who’s got publicly denounced its “mail-order bride” competition.
On February 20, Q104 established “The Male is within the contest that is czech” which include five evenings in Prague, and four times with a lady from www.czech-bride.com.
The showcases that are website into the aptly called “Czech ladies gallery.” The website guarantees a “trustworthy, expert and matchmaking that is exclusive” for Czech ladies and international guys.
Halifax NDP MP Megan Leslie indicated her anger into the House of Commons on Wednesday after having apparently gotten complaints concerning the competition.
“As a female, i will be furious. As being a Canadian, I would like to apologize to all the Czech females and to your 50,000 ladies of Czech descent surviving in Canada,” said Leslie.
Protesters call the competition sexist and dangerous.
